I guess we agree on one thing: Dave Miley.

    Re: Game thread 6-4-2005

I had to go to a "function" tonight, so I was only able to watch the first inning. The Reds scored four and Harang seemed to be in control. On the way to the party, I listened as Harang struck out the side. I felt confident. I get into the car at 11:00 and hear the score and am not shocked. Then I get on here and read about Lopez bunting and nearly had a stroke.

How much longer do we have to put up with this? How long will they let Miley go? I loathed Miley's hiring and his extension (even though I made peace with it). Surely, those in charge can see this.

ONe more thing. Seg and the callers are giving Felipe hell for not getting the bunt down, never looking at the falacy of the strategy. Someone call the show and set Seg straight. They're also giving Jr. hell for his baserunning blunder. Miley's king and we are only insane. Good grief.

Funny thing is, if Miley is king, then shouldn't all of the players be able to get the bunt down? Ironic, probably in the wrong sense of the word.

I don't think there is anyone who "defends" the Aurilia acquistion that wants him starting. Unless your last name is Miley.

The way Lopez has been hitting the ball the last month - the fact it's Coors Field - and they have him bunting. Ya play for one, and end up with none.

    Smart move IMO
"panic" only comes from having real expectations
