Horrid draft comes to a end(basically).
We missed our chance to screw up royally.
Josh Sowers Toronto Blue Jays RHP
Twin brother of Indians prospect and former first rounder Jeremy Sowers.
That would have been sweet if we would have drafted him and not signed him.

The Reds draft OnBaseMachine, an outfielder from Redszone with more tools than Bob Vila. We hear he packs a heavy wrench.
Thomas Lanier is really "Bo" Lanier.
He's an outright flamethrower.
So who's going to compose the post with just the Reds picks in it... seperate from this.
Pretty Please.
The Reds had a year to convince Loo to sign. And he didn't. And he wants to go back to school. So he didn't sign. And if he didn't sign, then he either doesn't want to play for the Reds period or he's thinking that he's going to end up in a higher draft slot next season. If it's the former, it's a wasted pick. If it's the latter, the Reds have already had the opportunity to buy him out of that option.Originally Posted by Aronchis
There isn't a single scenario in which that wasn't a wasted pick. The Reds could have already signed the guy. Any way you slice it, it's the loss of a player. No matter what happens, the Reds just gave away thier 9th round pick.

He was drafted by Boston in the 35th round last year.

Lanier posted 30 strikeouts in 28 innings and an impressive 6.43 era.
When I saw him at the CWS last year, he was all gas (94-97) and not much else.
And a Junior. Pretty good odds that Bo will be drafted next year, too.Originally Posted by jmcclain19

nah, that's the type the Reds will most certainly sign. The one's they probably shouldn'tOriginally Posted by gm
