Marlins have taken Volstad, Thompson and Marceaux. Talk about drafting pitching...

How far is Hochevar going to fall?

    Matt Torra's dropping too.

So if the Reds take a colleg pitcher in the second round, how many life alert pendants are we gonna have to order for Redszone members?

Guesses on the Reds' 2nd round pick?

I'm thinking Chaz Roe. IMO, it's not a good idea, but BA's had crazy radar and it said the Reds were high on him.

M2, what is the scoop on those two? Boras clients, personality issues, stock falling due to performance?

    Hochevar is a Boras client.

Not sure why Torra is dropping.

I woulda hated him as a first round pick, but as a second, well, I wouldn't be too upset.

Although, I still feel the Reds can't develop pitching, so I'd lean towards more toolsy hitters and then use them to trade for pitching later (let a team that can develop pitchers do the heavy lifting), but thats just me.

I'd hope the Reds would consider Hochevar, but I can't imagine he'd really fall that far.

Hochevar's a Boras guy, Torra isn't. Torra's a UMass pitcher, hasn't seen great competition, that might be why some teams are shaky on him.
