Life would be boring if everyone agreed with me. Who would I debate with?

Arizona just took Chris Rahl with the first pick in the 5th round.

I won't hold LD against him (better teach him to work fast so he doesn't lose focus - no, I'm not joking about that). My cousin just lost a basketball scholarship to Pitt because he's functionally illiterate due to LD stuff that's never been corrected.

Though LD tends to be a catch-all for all kinds of stuff, so I recommend not taking that as an absolute.

TeamOneBaseball really seems to like the Mariners 5th round pick (143) Stephen Kahn from Loyola Marymount.

Big time stuff, really big time stuff. Didn't have much success in terms of results, but he should flourish in the coming years. Fastball reached up to 96 and breaking ball at times is flat out wicked.

It's at this point in the draft where I begin to feel I'm watching a graduation of a class of 3000 students.

Talk about a day for shockers, Mark Pawelek (a Scott Boras client picked #20 by the Cubs) has already signed.
