For those not feeling the Travis Wood pick: Writeup per MLB draftcaster.

Comments: Throws w/ solid mechanics. FB darts around in the zone. Willing to pitch inside. Curve features nice rotation and good downward action. Circle change shows good movement down and away from RHH.

Talk about a difference in opinion.

Does anybody have access to the organizational report for the Reds that Baseball America did after the First Round.? It would be interesting to read their thoughts. Thanks.

Thats the key. If he can do it on occassion, as matures physically, he will be able to do it consistantly, thus the "physical ceiling".

Not necessarily. It's what they're gambling on, yes, but it's far from certain.

I'd love for the Reds to grab 3-4 guys like that in the late rounds, and then up the budget to sign two of them. If they were sincere about rebuilding the farm, that would do it. Just don't sign either Wilson or Ortiz, and you've got the money to do it.. Although I highly suspect DanO doesn't have that option to shuffle money.. a change like that would have to come from Allen/Lindner

They must have a lunch break between rounds 21 and 22. It's been like 20 minutes since the last pick in Round 21.

Let's hope Dan and Terry lay off the booze today at lunch.

Would you have a link Doog? Thanks!
