Police: Man Rammed Former Boss's Car

A Trenton man has been charged with felonious assault and vandalism after allegedly going after his former boss Thursday afternoon.

James R. Martin is accused of crashing his car into the victim's, then chasing the man and trying to choke him.

When police got to the scene at the Trenton Animal Hospital on East State Street, Martin was talking on a nearby pay phone, police said.

According to the police report, Martin said into the phone, "I told you I was going to get him and now I'm going to jail, so take care of my cat!"

Martin was taken to the Middletown jail, charged with assault and vandalism and cited for leaving the scene of an accident, driving left of center and driving under suspension.
