Cruz has hit better than Kearns this year. With Pena and Freel seemingly needing the night off, I'm not sure that Miley has much choice with the lineup. And Cruz and Aurilla have both hit very well lately.

If anyone things that this lineup is not capable of scoring runs, I invite you to sit back and wait for the outcome. You can't put your best 8 every night.

    I can't believe there's no TV tonight.

    11 pitch inning. Good start.

Daniel Cabrera has great stuff. If he can harness it, watch out! He keeps the ball in the yard 5 hr/65.1 ip, his oppents OPS against is .691 and k/9 rate of 8.21. Control is the only thing keeping him from establishing himself as one of the elite pitchers in the game.

Well, the shimmering sagacity of Dave Miley is put to the test early: the one righty? A double. The three leftys? Nada. Funny game, this.

    -Lopez struckout
    -Randa doubled
    -Casey grounded out
-Griffey robbed of extra bases by Sosa

    scoreless after 1.

But LH hitters are OPSing .905 against him.

We'll need Casey/Griffey/Dunn to do some damage.

Griffey gave it a good ride, and I can't believe that Sosa caught it.
