I have an immense respect for Mike Tyson and what he's gone through in his life. I feel like he was jobbed by that woman in Indy and he's been used ever since. Most people can overcome that and on their own make it through life. Mike Tyson has some major mental problems and instead of people trying to work with him he has been used and robbed for countless years. He's not well enough off to help himself.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

Tyson will be back. He needs money, and since he devoted his life to boxing, and then went to jail, he didnt get the chance for any kind of education.

The sad thing is that the Irish guy will want a shot at the World title.

Glad I didn't spend $49.95 for that on pay per view.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

I'm stilled peed off about paying for the Tyson/Spinks fight from 1988. I haven't watched boxing ever since. Spinks took one jab and fell to the canvas and collected his nine million dollars.

Re: Tyson quits in middle of fight

"a sad end to a sorry episode"

Such incredible highs,,, such devastating lows,,, I saw him get beaten by Danny Williams in Louisville... his first manager Cus D'Amato, was basically Mike's dad. He watched over Mike and protected him from the "bad elements" that are so pervasive in boxing. When Cus died, Mike, a guy from the gutter, was totally unable and unequipped to deal with the money, fame, and pressure heaped upon his shoulders. I'm certainly not shedding any tears for the guy, but when you step back and look at where he came from and how he grew up (*literally* on the streets) it becomes a little easier to feel at least saddened that the career of such a promising young boxer devolved into the sideshow carnival act that it became (all the while losing some 250 million dollars while having countless millions more stolen by Don King)

    Very tragic all around.

Haha! My Dad was at that fight! To this day he tells me to never pay to watch boxing!

Re: Tyson quits in middle of fight

Sadly, I actually liked Tyson. There was just something in my heart for that guy, because you can tell he has some intelligance, and tries to say intelligent things in interviews, but hes just not educated. I feel bad for the guy. I payed for the Danny Williams fight, it was just sorry to see him go down. Although he would have won that fight if he didnt tear up his knee in the 3rd round.
