    Casey has averaged 15 GIDP per season since he came into the league, with a high of 19.

    I can't imagine why he's so much worse this year, other than perhaps he's being less selective this year with his pitches. But his hitting is, more or less, pretty much the same as in past years.

    I think it's funny how all this "veteran leadership" that was purchased this offseason has done worse than the young cheap guys.
