According to the O's announcers the only guy who gives up more hits than Ortiz is Tony Soprano.

Recently calculated for another thread that without Ortiz, Graves, Wilson and Milton Reds team ERA is 4.64. If you also eliminate Weber and Valentine you get 4.31.

Dude, come on. And miss a gamer like Ortiz?

Personally I would have been disgusted going to last night's game when Kearns was still in the clubhouse--he's no man of honor.

Last night the team showed what they actually are capable of doing. The Reds have won 4 out of the last 5 games.

This isn't the first streak they've had in which that "veteran presence" has been a rally killer...

Newhan flies out to center. 3-0 O's mid 2nd.

Ortiz's era has risen to 6.60. Could he push it up over 7 today and join his buddies Milton and Wilson?

Milton is a longer term problem. Ortiz should be bullpened and eventually let go. Wilson should play long toss for a couple more months.
