Vijay and Furyk (nice pick, creek) are making a charge.

Vijay is -2 on the day through 13, and -2 overall.

Furyk is also -2 on the day through 13, and -1 overall.

Mickelson is +6 on the day, +5 overall, through 16.

The back 9 appears to really be killing players.

Vijay dropped two strokes and is now E through 16

Mickelson is +7 today now, and +6 for the tournament through 17

The leaders in the clubhouse at Even par are: Michael Campbell, Vijay Singh, and Sergio Garcia, who turned in a -1 today.

Furyk finished even for the day and +1 overall.

phil's choaking early for once instead of late 77 might put him out of reach of the lead for the next 2 days

    Re: US Open predictions

+1 seems to be a very good score today, and its only expected to get worse.

Tiger is now +1 for the tournament.

Leaders are at -2. Olin Browne, Rocco Mediate, Lee Westwood, K.J. Choi and Retief Goosen all at -2 for the tournament.

Jason Gore, and American, is now -2 for the day and -1 for the tournament. He's the only other player in red figures besides the leaders, and he's through 4 holes.

    Re: US Open predictions

Olin Browne shot an incredible 59 in a qualifying round to make the Open. All the available rooms in town were long gone by that time, and he's staying in a condo across the 9th fairway where I live.

He's playing out of his mind, and is lasting far beyond I would have ever imagined.

But it's all just jockeying for position right now and trying not to play your way out of contention. The pressure turns up another notch tomorrow, and then Sunday, and finally the back nine on Sunday.

You're going to see the best golfers on earth falling apart as the pressure builds.
