Don't you dare ever mention Voyager again. That show does NOT exist. I have wiped it from my brain forever.

Except for Seven of Nine. She lives on.

Folks, there is nothing wrong with giving your top pinch-hitter (especially one who is hitting almost .300) an occasional start, especially when the roster is depleted by nagging injuries and a leave of absence. The occasional start helps keep him sharp, and also serves as a reward for a job well done.
Now that the cat's out of the bag, the milk has been spilt, the Cheerios have been peed in, or whatever cliche you can stand, I agree, no problem giving Cruz a start.

The wise one finds a way to not end up in this spot to begin with.

    That was a great show.

ok, I guess that's a nice way to tell me that I said something dumb

Sure, there's nothing wrong with giving the bench guys a spot start. The problem is, we're forced to do it. The roster is depleted because DanO sent Kearns to AAA.
Thank you Walt and Bob for going for it in 2010-2014!

Valentin just missed a home run. Jordan catches it against the wall.

8th inning in a game the Braves are making look easy (a .500 team, mind you) and Smoltz is as focused as the postseason. We need a few professionals with the kind of focus and intensity, oh and ability.

No, that's not how I meant it at all. What I mean is that Austin Kearns played his way to AAA. And he did so before the Aurilia injury or the death of Casey's cousin. So the roster is not depleted because Kearns got sent to Louisville.
