The Stone Roses, "I Want to be Adored."
Their self-titled debut album is awesome. The second one isn't bad either.

One of those bands that most people have never heard of. I had two of their CDS, lost them in a move and then picked up their greatest hits about a year ago. Great stuff. "I have a dream, I’ve seen the light Don’t put it out, say she’s alright, yeah,The Stone Roses, "I Want to be Adored."
she’s my sister."
Some things that have been in and out of my CD player the past week:
System of a Down - The screaming vocals and driving music mixed with some of the best pop hooks around make for something very cool. And tough to describe to anyone.
Springsteen: Devils and Dust
Foo Fighters - In Your Honor - this one hasn't caught on with me yet, but it will.
Coldplay: X & Y. Shouldn't like them but I do. Hopefully another generation's U2 - I don't mind being too old for great music.
Can't forget Manchester in the eighties. One of those bands that most people have never heard of.

And for those folks in Clermont and Brown counties, Better than Ezra is the same band you know as "Gooder than Ezra."I throw in the new Better than Ezra when I need a break from 30ST.
Oh relax. I lived there myself.
Bob Marley's "Natty Dread" is playing now, off the "Songs of Freedom" box set.
If you do not own the "Songs of Freedom" box set, go get it now. I'll wait here.
EDIT: And in a strange coincidence, as I was typing the above, another Stone Roses song cycled on. Doo-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo.

LVJ, that album is awesome.
I like "I want to be adored" too
School's out. What did you expect?
I've been listening to the new The National album, Alligator. It's pretty good.
You can hear it in it's entirety here:

Also if you feel in the mood for something really "out there", check out Antony and the Johnsons. Basically, Antony is a tranvestite caberet singer with a pretty good sized cult following. He even got Rufus Wainwright, Lou Reed, Devendra Banhart to help out on his new album. Here is an mp3:

Ah well. They were good though.

Love 'em. And easy to play on the guitar! First time listen will turn most people off. You just have to "get it" with SOAD. All 3 CDs (the original ones) are kickin' stuff IMO.Originally Posted by Dom Heffner
