Hmm... I'm listening to Elvis right now, so I guess I'll just bow out of this conversation.

I took my System of a Down CD out yesterday and put in Ronnie Milsap. The biggest U-turn in the history of music.

Their self-titled debut album is awesome. The second one isn't bad either.
Weird, this morning on my drive to work I listened to "Fool's Gold," which was the first time I broke out the Stone Roses in a long while.

Right now I am listening to My Bloody Valentine's Loveless, which will be followed up by Common's new one, Be.

I hope you don't mind if I pass on that listening experience.

Oh yeah, I've seen it. The rise and fall of the Hacienda. Makes me wish I'd grown up in Madchester in the late 80s/early 90s.

On the other hand, if you've ever seen the late great A&E TV show "Cracker", staring the incomperable Robbie Coltrane, you would know that there are a lot of nuts in Manchester. Heck of a socer team though.

Don't mind at all, considering that I would pass on most of what's been posted here (except the Jack Johnson).

Back when MTV did their Unplugged series, I think the Kiss show (1996) was the highest rated and sold the most CDs. It was the original band's (Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley) first appearance together since they broke up in the early 80s and it was also what spurred their hugely successful reunion tour that followed.

Truly talented group of musicians IMO. Morello, Cornell.... masters of the guitar and voice IMO. I was a Rage and Soundgarden fan. I was bummed when each broke up. I think the music-world became a better place when this connection between the Rage musicians and Cornell were made.

In my experience, I've never found a bad who's stuff is easier to play than System of a Down. Good stuff.
