    Is Krivsky making enough moves?

Ha! Are you kidding me? Whatever ends up happening this year, you have to say one thing: The Reds are taking their shot this year! I love it.

I wonder who are on some of the PTBN lists (including the Phillips trade) but hopefully we won't lose much. But I like the aggressive nature of Wayne, and more importantly Castallini. It wouldn't make much difference to have a good GM if you had an owner that didn't allow him to make changes. We haven't added a bunch of salary, but we've added some, and you get the feeling Wayne has carte blanche to make as many moves as he sees fit. We've never seen anything like it in my 30-plus years following the Reds.

Much like the Man in Black, most of the PTNB will be named Cash.

We have gone from one extreme to the next.....Dan O'Brien who was afraid to make a move to the gunslinger in Krivsky.

So what PTBNL's do we still have hanging out there?

One from Florida (for C. Ross)

One to San Diego (for Cody Ross)
    One to Cleveland (for Hollandsworth)
    One to Philly (for Franklin)
    One to Toronto (for Shoenweiss)

We've completed the other PTBNL's, as best I can recall. Did I miss anyone or have we completed any of these others?

Most of the PTBNL's might have the last name of Cash. First Name Lotsa.

We can't trade C. Ross more than once and I read we sent Zac Stotts to Phillies for Franklin. Stotts was from Dayton and Sarasota

Kriv has had a spring and summer now to scout his own farm system and decide who fits in with his style and doesn't.

PTBNL's are probably going to be guys that were going to be released anyway. I'd rather have that, than to send cash we can spend on pitching.

Regarding Cody Ross, we trade for him for a PTBNL and we traded him to Florida, also for a PTBNL. I don't think either of those have been completed.

Regarding Stotts, I see the transaction on the Phillies site two days after we received Franklin, but not showing being related to that trade, but nothing on the Reds site. Curious. You may be right, although the other completed transactions referred back to the previous trade.

    Traded Jeff Stevens for Phillips.
Traded Ben Kozlowski for Cody Ross.
Traded Zac Stott for Ryan Franklin.

Florida owes us a PTBNL for Cody Ross.

We owe PTBNL for Schoweneweis and 1 to Cleveland for Hollandsworth.

So far we have given up basically nothing of value, and based on what we have been trading for, I expect that trend to continue.

Thanks, AK. I do remember the player being sent to the Padres to complete the Ross trade now that you mention it.

You might have the Ross' mixed up.

We traded a PTBNL (Bobby Basham) to San Diego for David Ross.

I'll have to do some looking for where I 1st read it. But I could swear we got 500k for C. Ross from Florida.

Yes, the Cody Ross transaction should be L.A. Dodgers - my mistake.

The only place that 500K number came up was on this forum. Pretty sure that deal hasn't been completed yet.
