Just for the record, here is my Lineup card(s).

    vs. RHP

    Freel 2B
    Lopez SS
    Dunn LF
    Griffey CF
    Randa 3B
    Casey 1B
    Pena RF
    Valentin C

    vs. LHP

    Freel 2b
    Lopez SS
    Griffey CF
    Pena RF
    Casey 1B
    Randa 3B
    Dunn LF
    Larue C

Possibly a little unconventional in spots but I think it fits well!

Hate to see people get fired but it was overdue. Unfortunately there needs to be many more as this organization needs to clean house and re-build. They need to an entire new strategy, not just a refinement. Plus they need to learn how to win again.

A new GM will be much more important. Pat Gillick has a good track record and is available. I like Hunsicker for the job.

    If Freel is playing

    Freel
    Pena
    Jr
    Dunn
    Felipe
    Casey
    Randa
    LaRue
    (P)

    If Freel sits
    Lopez
    Dunn
    Pena
    Jr
    Randa
    Casey
    Aurillia
    LaRue

Pena needs to see more fastballs. He has to be moved up, I think Jr. could be switched for Dunn in the three hole so he can see more fastballs as well, but I think with Randa behind Dunn/JR. in the four hole, that is still a little bit more protection. The majority of our offense should come from the top, that's why we can't continually put RA in the two hole, that is flat rediculous.

Why all the excitement? Just change for the sake of change. It'll have as much impact as playing in knickers.

As for Gully gone...that was overdue, best of luck to the guy, but when you agree to letting both Eric Milton and Ortiz be summoned here, you were pretty much toast. The pitching coach should watch tape and see oh okay, we really can do this, or we can't. You have to know what you are getting before you get it, and I feel that is what led to him being axed.

Van Ruhle huh? Okay, well, it's a change. Hope for the best from this staff. Is this Van Ruhle guy going to be long term, short term? Who are some good pitching coaches out there, without a team, that could possibly end up being this teams pitching coach in the future, if he is shortterm.

No more pitch to contact yes!

This move was a long time coming though. Th eonly reason we didnt fire him after the Braves series was because he won the final game. So we waited untill he lost.

See Narron really wanted to shake things up!

    Is Freel hurt?

Great to hear that Miley and Gullett are gone. Probably won't make much of a difference now, but at least things are moving in the right direction. I've seen Narron's first lineup for tonight's game against the Cards, and I don't like it.

    Dunn 6th? :thumbdown

    Aurilla 2nd? :thumbdown

    Casey 3rd? :thumbdown

Give him a break, he can't just slap Miley in the face the first game.

I'll give him two games. He's got to show that it's his team and that Miley was part of the problem. If not, than everyone knows that this move meant absolutely nothing. Even if he was the one behind Miley's lineups this still holds true. This is one case in which change for the sake of change can work and must happen even if you don't believe in the change, which I hope to goodness he does.
