Actually, after reading RFA66's post, I can see the error of my post. I was thinking of the last late inning win and totally missed the point of the late comeback win.Originally Posted by Falls City Beer

Even including that Atlanta game, they are few and very far between! Ugh...Originally Posted by Reds Nd2

Good one! Of course it was non-televised here. That was the game in which RZ thought Lou Pinella might kill something... kill anything! That Griffey single was CLUTCH. The REDS also hit 6 HRs in that game (poor Lou) off TB pitching.Originally Posted by Reds Nd2

I am building a projection into my graph. So far, I am calculating it based on his avg starts a year before this year which was around 28.
He is on pace for 48 per my calculations
Here is how I arrived at it:
TOTALHR * CareerAVGStarts / StartsThisYear
So...
(27 * 28.57) / 16 = 48 (approx)
Not quite on pace to beat the record yet. Now if he does exceed his career avg starts of 28.57 (say, oh, I dunno, 32) then he will have 54. Ouch.

There really haven't been many. This one stuck out in my mind because it was a close game all the way through, and the Reds came up with just enough at the very end to pull it out.
These are the wins that IMHO a winner wins and the Reds have repeatedly lost this year.
