If you going to hit rock bottom you might as well get your pick at the top player in the draft.

From the pretty picture for the future department......Lopez and Encarnacion trotting together to the dugout....number 2 and number 12.

    ???

The Reds stand to finish today only 3.5 games out of the worst record in baseball, and the only reason it's not theirs is because they swept the Devil Rays and not the other way around. As it is, they look to be a mortal lock for one of the four worst records in baseball ... and that'll fetch you a real good college pitcher in the 2006 draft, perhaps one of the UNC boys.

They definitely made the list M2.....but they are still in like 4th place....a few teams to climb under there. It is hard to make up 3.5 games you are pitting yourself against the likes of the D-Rays, KC and Colorado.

But I do agree with you that even 4th might get them a stud pitcher. Pirates are starting a guy named Duke tonight????

No, they won't draft one of them because of signability concerns. They will say that pitching is deep, so they will take a HS Pitcher. ,

Give your imagination a boost. Time to stop of thinking of it like "Well, at least we aren't those guys." Yes, we are, exactly like them. It's easy to make up 3 games in the loss column on anyone when your team's awful.
