just think, Machado will be called up to take his spot. Then it's onwards and upwards. :

It's tough to blame DanO for this one since we traded a guy with little value for him. The fact we got anything is commendable. Plus he is only 22 years old so I will give him more time.

According to Lancaster, even though there is now a vacancy on the 40-man roster and the Reds are going to bring a pitcher north, they are going to ONCE AGAIN pass over Chris Booker and purchase the contract, instead, Jason Standridge.

Standridge, you might guess, is a former Texas Ranger who was DFA'd recently. Lancester said that DannO, when questioned on the reason for Booker's continued stay in AAA, replied "It goes beyond numbers."

He may be suggesting we need a mop up guy to throw some innings which Booker definitely isn't. Booker is clearly the better pitcher but I think it's possible we need an inning eater right now.

He's pitching exactly to his rap sheet: throws 4 pitches, but throws none of them particularly well, average fastball and no true out pitch.

It's simple... Booker is not one of DanO's players.

O'Brien can't be fired soon enough.

He's the only one that will give us multiple innings while pitching effectively at the same time.

    BTW Griffey homers. 6-2.
