I'm attempting to promote my golf tournament as much as possible, and the shame level is getting low enough that I bring it to the boys here at Redszone.
I'm the asst. manager at a golf course in Chillicothe, which is almost 2 hours east of Cincy and an hour south of Columbus. I'm running the 1st Annual Arnie's Army Open to Benefit Prostate Cancer Research on August 13th. For those of you that don't know, Arnie's Army is Arnold Palmer's foundation to raise money for prostate cancer awareness.
Anyway, my dad's a prostate cancer survivor, and I'm sure many of you have some connection to this disease, whether it be personal or in your family. All proceeds from the tournament go to benefit prostate cancer research through the Prostate Cancer Foundation, and it'll be an all-around good time. Here's some perks of the tournament:
-4-man tourney, $180 per team (skins game/mulligans/etc. will also be available day of tourney)
-Everyone gets a 1-year subscription to Golf Digest, plus lots of Arnie's Army souvenirs
-Centers around a 1-hole, Par 3 Shootout. Winner of that contest gets a golf prize valued at around $200. Tournament team winners will also get prizes.
-Free food, lots of raffle prizes/skill prizes/etc. Good times all around.
Above all, it's for an absolutely worthy cause, and if any of you are around the Southern Ohio area, we'd love to have you down at my course for this.
If anyone's interested in coming down for the tournament, sponsoring a hole (if you own a business around the area), or just donating some money to the Prostate Cancer Foundation , email me at dylansilver@sbcglobal.net and I'll give you all the information you need.
