What are the best old-age gag gifts you have seen?

A friend of mine is turning 40 in a few weeks, and he is being given a surprise "over-the-hill" party. I am seeking ideas for a gag gift (or gift collection) for the occasion. Things like Metamucil and Geritol have become cliche, so I'm looking for something creative/clever/unique.

Any ideas? What have you seen? I tried Google searches, but mostly what came up were sites trying to sell the typical stuff.

You absolutely need to find some little blue pills.

Here was the hit list at my 40th. A cake with a black tombstone as a candle. A bottle of "Horny Goat Weed", (don't ask me, some type of herbal thing supposed to be the natural little blue pill?). The obligitory black balloon's everywhere. A cane with bicycle horn and rear view mirror (My personal Favorite). A "Clapper", and a hair brush with no bristles.

How about a gift certificate to MCL cafeteria? And maybe a brochure for some kind of lift chair?
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

Or cane tips? Or those plastic coin purses?

I agree with Red Leader. Depends are the way to go.

Black dress socks and white tennis shoes, or loafers are always effective when you give them together as well.

Bi-Focals, you can buy cheap ones at Wal-Mart (of course).

You can send away for literature for a motorized scooter at a site like this:

...and to answer any questions, my Dad turns 60 next year.

I've already started preparing, as you can see.

Can you find any brochures for a retirement home?

Wow! That's harsh. I thought just having one of those was mean, but that's a lot worse than anything I've heard of
