Claussen looks to be going through some deadarm. He should be out of it by Augest.

Claussen has given up 17 homeruns, I think hes trying to ketch up with Milton & Ortiz.

Thats the idea oregonred and I'm sure the FO has told him to make the most of this opportunity because when EE comes up
and freel moves to sencond Rich will be sitting.

He is getting squeezed on the outside now, no wonder the Brewers are teeing off.

The Reds are 14 games under .500 - would Freel at third until EdE was ready (which was a month ago) really have made them worse?? Not to mention the money going to pitching?

So yes, I would have taken that for more money going towards pitching.

I bet it doesnt help him out when he throws a 1st pitch fastball about 99.9% of the time.

Of the five hits he has given up today, the solo home run in the 3rd, and the leadoff double in the first came on the first pitch. And if it is pitch selection, is that not Valentin's fault?

Larue caught the last game Claussen pitched and he threw a bunch of 1st pitch fastballs.... I think Claussen just likes to throw fastballs.

I bet the pitcher would feel a little different if it was Dunn in #3 hole

Claussen needs to learn to pitch off of his offspeed stuff against aggressive fastball hitting teams like the Cubs and Brewers.

Casey singles, Freel scores, Lopez to 3rd.

    4-1 Brewers.
