My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!
NRBQ.
I don't know that they are underrated, but certainly they are not as known as they should be.

Twice, actually.

"It's easier to give up. I'm not a very vocal player. I lead by example. I take the attitude that I've got to go out and do it. Because of who I am, I've got to give everything I've got to come back."
-Ken Griffey Jr.
That was 2004, this is 2005. It's a whole new level of underratedness.Originally Posted by zombie-a-go-go

Fine... I submit Talib Kweli, The Murder City Devils, Jedi Mind Tricks, and the Von Bondies.

School's out. What did you expect?
Sometimes I think the point of band names is to make their fans sound silly when they talk about them.I submit Talib Kweli, The Murder City Devils, Jedi Mind Tricks, and the Von Bondies

Curve
Fountains of Wayne
Manic Street Preachers
Although I'm sure there are many, many more.

Sinch is by far my favorite rock/metal band. I only know one other person who knows who they are.
I'd also submit Strata (they have a lot of room to grow, but I've seen them live three times. They put on a great show.), Finger Eleven (seen them twice), Maktub (funk rock), Greenwheel (rock band from St. Louis, had a song nominated for a grammy), and Lennon Murphy. I just listened to a Coheed And Cambria album. They're pretty good, although their vocalists high pitched 80's-ish voice gets a on my nerves a bit. Slipknot and Mudvayne seem to have become somewhat respectable this year. Still a bit too much pointless screaming for my tastes, though.
I was never so proud as the time when my vinyl copy of Low Budget arrived in the mail via my RCA Record Club membership..Originally Posted by westofyou

It is...in fact their entire catalog is great. Right now I am listening to their b-sides collection that just came out, and it's ace.Originally Posted by pedro
