The Most Beautiful place on Earth.

Vacation time again, I mean a real one, not to Ohio or Pensacola as I always do. This time going back to the most beautiful place I have ever been to, The Isle of Capri off Naples Italy. Been there twice and will also stop in Rome for a few days. Anyone ever been to The Isle of Capri? If so, have you ever seen anything like it before?

I was there in nineteen hundred and seventy four. And yes, it was beautiful. I loved Rome too. I was in awe of the things you can see there. Simply amazing.

And that's where this Italian guy walked up to me and said "American woman?" I said yes. He said "very tall". I said yes. He said "do you want to go to bed with me?"

No, I'm not telling you what I said.

    Have fun on your trip!!

Rome is great. Never been to the Isle of Capri. But I have been to Naples and it's an armpit.

Creek, maybe I will run into this guys wife or girlfriend and she will ask me the same thing, and of course I will be like you, mum on the subject.

RBA, agree Naples is the armpit, was stationed there in the Navy and it is worse now. Man if you were in Naples you should have went on over to Capri. I also want to go to Pompi (sp) this time, never went there before. Italy, so much too see, never enough time.

In the USA, San Francisco, yes. Boston? I don't know about that, lots of history but beautiful? That was our home port for our ship, hated that town, very unfriendly people. Never saw any beauty in it. After San Francisco, there is no comp' but San Daigo, Seattle are nice cities. The armpit of America of course is El Paso.

I agree that San Francisco is the most beautiful city in America.

I love that whole area, from Big Sur to Bodega Bay

Got to agree there. All the National Parks are beautiful, I like the Smokies as my favorite.

OK, so I haven't been there. Yet. But I think it's beautiful.

Yosemite's the most beautiful place I've been; I can't speak beyond that. I think California on the whole was breathtaking (I've also done the Big Sur drive).

San Francisco reminded me of Sydney, another beautiful city (with great beaches). And even if it's overcrowded, nothing compares with the cognitive dissonance experienced when I first glimpsed the Grand Canyon.

San Francisco is ok... for a city, Yosemite is nice (I prefer Sequoia myself)

I like Moab and canyonlands the best though... then Maui or Kaui.

I haven't been to Utah yet (except for whatever part of the Kayenta to Monument Valley drive takes you there). I'd planned a trip for this summer, but it didn't work out.

    I'm working on next year.
