Aurilia starting and batting 2nd after what he said yesterday. Ridiculous.

1st thing that came to my mind as well.

Hal McCoy's article today said Aurilia was scheduled to start against Astacio because he has hit well against him in the past.

I thought Olmedo was going to start a game sometime? If you're going to sit Freel, why not play Olmedo?

I don't care who you are, if you're in my clubhouse acting the way Aurillia is acting, you don't play. Especialy over somebody like Freel, who seems to have the perfect ballplayer attitude. Freel seems like a spark plug when he's in there, he just makes things happen that don't happen when he's not playing.

I don't care if he's hitting 1.000 and every hit was a HR. I'd sit his whiney hiney.

Aurilia would cry if Olmedo started instead of him.

Rich whines and continues to get his way. What would happen if one of the younger players spouted off like that? I highly doubt they would start and bat second.

Mr creek and I will be enjoying margaritas during the game.

No, I don't know why you needed to know that.

There is a reasoning for sitting Freel from time to time. As hard as he plays, putting him out there every day would risk losing him for a period of time.

I can understand it....but if they can trade Aurilia, it would give Olmedo some playing time

I agree. I just don't see much use in playing Rich Aurilia. He's not gonna be here next year, Reds aren't going anywhere this year. You know what you've got in Freel, if he needs a day off see what you've got in Olmedo. Late in the game when Olmedo get's his pinch hit duty, give that to Aurilia. Does anyone know how Aurilia gets along with the team?

They just interviewed EdE on the pregame show. What a breath of fresh air. All excited about his first HR. And he looks about 12 with those braces.
