    Crash in Toronto

We're watching the live footage of a plane that ran off the runway in Toronto and burst into flames. Dosen't look good at all. Almost 300 on board.

Now they are saying no deaths. That is just great news cause this thing has been buring for a long time now.

I'm happy about the news you're reporting, creek, but how in the world were there no fatalities?

From what I've read on the internet, the plane crashed upon landing. When did passengers have time to get out?

Heard on the radio it was an Air France A340 - which currently is the largest jet Airbus produces (until the A380 is fielded). It has a passenger capacity similar to a 747. Thankfully, there are no fatalities.

It will be interesting to hear why the aircraft skidded of the runway.
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

My mom is flying to Florida tomorrow for a trip with her college friends, and the plane crash is totally freaking her out. She's always scared to fly, and then this happens the day before her trip. She's flying down by herself, so that doesn't help.
