Hal said he flat out asked Dano point blank if he had a deal with the White Sox. DanO's reply was "all the OFs are still here". There is no doubt that there was some kind of a deal in place.Originally Posted by CincyRedsFan30

Davies seems to have the problem Haren used to have: cruise through 4-5 innings and blow up in the sixth. We can only hope that Davies loses steam in this humidity (though that's a pretty bad mixed metaphor when you think about it: "steam" and "humidity." Ugh.)

Arg, Griff hits one just foul down the line..

Something changed since all of today's papers then, which all said the deal was false: "Period".Originally Posted by flyer85

Casey?
Casey finally flashing some power! 2 run bomb!
THANKS TO AN ADAM DUNN WALK.
THIS IS WHY WALKS ARE GOOD. GETTING ON BASE = SCORING RUNS

Soft walk allows Casey to get an at bat and he turns on the first pitch 3-2 Braves.
Griff just missed a homerun.
Dunn was angry at himself for missing that 3-1 pitch. Belt high fastball out over the plate and he fouled it off. Next pitches misses in, ball four.
Casey homerun, 2-1 Reds!
Walks are good.
Home Runs are good.
Outs are bad.
Good job, Case.

Hopefully Harang can relax now, the offense isn't totally asleep.
No offense is asleep in 93 degree weather.Originally Posted by DoogMinAmo

DanO quotes in the DDN
doesn't address the trade"My reaction is short and sweet," said O'Brien. "Throughout July we had no conversations with Griffey or his agent about his 10-and-5 status
Neither Jr or his agent was asked about waiving his no-trade rights. However, nothing in there is a denial that a trade to send Jr to the White Sox was worked out between the GMs.
The question Hal addresses with Marty on the radio was asked today.
This ump. at home tonight is very inconsistent, IMO. He can't decide where his zone is at.
