    Kearns has 10 walks in 75 atbats in August, or 1 walk per 7.5 atbats, which is on par with his career walk rate of bb/7.16 atbats. He's showing signs of coming around.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

    Maybe. But he's simply GOT to stop taking so long to straighten out his game. I'd like the guy to string together four straight months of good ball.

    24 walks in 155 atbats. Beats his previous career high of 22 in 218 atbats.

    That pretty much says it all. I love Kearns's game when he actually is playing it, but he never does for a full season(due to several factors). Hopefully next year................

    I think most of his struggles earlier in the year was due to the shoulder. I've always heard that it takes nearly two full years for a hitter to regain full strenth in the shoulder after surgery. I don't know how accurate that is, though.
