I'm thinking for the whole season.

Aug 31, 2005, 12:00 GMT printer friendly email this article NEW ORLEANS, LA, United States (UPI) -- The NFL`s New Orleans Saints will be making San Antonio their temporary home as their city struggles to overcome devastation from Hurricane Katrina.

The Saints will fly to San Antonio following their 8 p.m. Thursday game with the Oakland Raiders, said director of media and public relations Greg Bensel.

San Antonio is team owner Tom Benson`s second home, the New Orleans Times Picayune said.

The team will practice there until their season-opener Sept. 11 against the Carolina Panthers.

Several teams and communities have offered assistance, although where the Saints will play their home opener, Sept. 18 against the New York Giants, is uncertain.

General Manager Mickey Loomis and the NFL are looking into potential sites, which include college stadiums, the report said.
