Why are there political/religious discussions on a Cincinnati Reds message board?I am not saying I am for or against it, it just seems a little odd.
The non-baseball side was created so it's members could interact/socialize on other issues while not "cluttering" up the baseball side. There was simply a demand for it.
While the Cincinnati Reds is the primary focus and our common interest - as many of us developed strong bonds/friendships over time, we also like to share/discuss other non-sports related issues. It's made alot of us even closer.
"In my day you had musicians who experimented with drugs. Now it's druggies experimenting with music" - Alfred G Clark (circa 1972)
"Whatever you choose, however many roads you travel, I hope that you choose not to be a lady. I hope you will find some way to break the rules and make a little trouble out there. And I also hope that you will choose to make some of that trouble on behalf of women." - Nora Ephron
Peanut Gallery is down.
Every category of life is being fixed at one time or another.
Go to any Cincinnati City Council meeting and there's shenanigans going on throughout most of the decisions that they're making.

Now if we could only get the rest of society to ban political/religious discussions we'd be on to something.
Either that or designate a seperate part of town, sort of like a seperate forum, as the only place you can talk about them.
That would be perfect. No more noise pollution.
We've had enough political-based threads started lately that I strongly recommend anyone unfamiliar with our policy reread this thread.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!
Board Moderators may, at their discretion and judgment, delete and/or edit any messages that violate any of the following guidelines: 1. Explicit references to alleged illegal or unlawful acts. 2. Graphic sexual descriptions. 3. Racial or ethnic slurs. 4. Use of edgy language (including masked profanity). 5. Direct personal attacks, flames, fights, trolling, baiting, name-calling, general nuisance, excessive player criticism or anything along those lines. 6. Posting spam. 7. Each person may have only one user account. It is fine to be critical here - that's what this board is for. But let's not beat a subject or a player to death, please. |
