When I was at a high school football game on Friday, a gentleman in the press box said Kyle Orton would be the Rookie of the Year. I'm guessing this game so far has him reconsidering that opinion.

As a totally objective, non-homer, watcher of football, the Bengals look amazing. As in great. And fun to watch. Palmer's the real thing. And again, I don't give a rat's behind about the Bengals.

Can you imagine the feeling in this city if the Bengals get to 6-0 (which should happen if we get by the Jags)

Bengals win 24-7. Orton picked off five times, Palmer with three TDs.

I agree with FCB, especially the defense. I never imagined that defense would gel so quickly, just fast and explosive.

Im high on the Bengals right now, but they have a tough middle of the schedule. If the Steelers lose today to the Patriots, we have first place all to ourselves.

Bengals are 3-0 right now with the Texans to go, then they play Jacksonville, in order to get to 6-0, they would have to beat Jacksonville and Tennessee.

Its possible, but that road trip through the AFC South is going to determine a lot.

Who Dey! It's fun to have one of the best teams in the NFL. Cincinnati more than deserves it.

    And the Steelers lost!

Let's take this one win at a time. Yes the Jags have a wonderful defense and the Bengals always have a hard time playing at Tennessee. I'm not even thinking of 6-0. I just would like to see them take care of business vs Houston.

    Those aren't uniforms. They're costumes.

This Bengals team reminds me more and more of the 99 Rams.

The more I see of Odell Thurman, the more excited I get about the next few years in Bengal land. Marvin Lewis has been nothing short of genius in his drafting (with the exception of Chris Perry which I still think was a really bad pick).

    Odell is pimp.

Watching the game yesterday, even being up 10-0 through the half I had this feeling of dread in my gut - they Bears seemed to stuff the run every time the Bengals went to it and I just knew - knew - that we were going to lose this one. Our D couldn't stop the run (never has, never will) .... could it?

See, that's what it means to be a Bengals fan.

Now I'm starting to believe that the 2-0 start was more than just a fluke. We should smash the Texans next weekend and then....

Well, I still can't really wrap my head around it, to be honest. I've never seen a winning Bengals season. Much less the "P" word... but I'm not going to jinx it.

    Who-Dey!

Oh, and I know that it was "just Orton," but our corners are looking like some serious pickoff artists. Our secondary is nails.
