Watched the season finale last night; must admit, I love this show.
Can't wait to see how the Second-Triumvirate plays out w/ the eventual war between Octavian and Mark Antony!

I love Rome. Haven't watched the finale yet, but the one before it (with the Gladiator pit) was amazing.
Watched every episode this season and thought it was quite good. WilyMo: Have you heard that HBO is definitely going to have a season two? I know they hinted that there would be a third season of Carnivale--only to annouce later that it was done after season two concluded.
In other good news from Sunday night...HBO has finally started to pimp the next season of the Sopranos which is due to air in March 2006. It had better be worth the wait.
HBO is going to have a 2nd season of Rome but it will probably be about a year or more before it airs.
Sounds like the status quo for HBO.Originally Posted by Reds Fanatic

Yep. In the meantime, I still sit there...like a sucker...and pay for my 12 HBO Channels each and every month.
Knowing full well that I would rather watch reruns of just about any HBO series as opposed to anything new that the networks could ever offer.
Yep, I read an article that said while they had definitely ordered a 2nd season of Rome, the earliest we'll see it is March of 2007!
Insane.
Yep, I love The Wire, too. We've been waiting for their next season forever.
Yep! Seeing those promos for the new season of Sopranos brought a big smile to my face!!
That Gladiator scene was SWEET. They've really done a good job of setting up some very interesting storylines and conflicts that will provide good drama even though the overall story of what will happen is pretty well known.
I'm always amused how some people will react to a historical movie or show. I still remember walking out of the theater after seeing Braveheart and hearing someone say, "I wish they wouldn't have killed him off at the end. It would have made for a better ending."Originally Posted by WilyMoROCKS
Hahahahaha, that's funny you say that b/c I've got to admit that despite historical events to the contrary, I was rooting for Caesar when he went into that meeting with the Senate! Just human nature I guess.Originally Posted by OldRightHander
