    I was kinda relieved in the season finale of Rome that HBO didn't go for easy formulaic dialogue when Caesar was finished off...Even though all of the Romans on the series spoke the Queen's English with their beautiful British accents...I half expected the writers to Jump the Shark and make Caesar's last words to be in Latin with the old "et tu Brute??"

    Anyhow, I was pleasantly suprised when Caesar made only a bloody gurgling sound and died without speaking....Wow, I guess that sounded pretty cheery, huh? Happy Thanksgiving.

    Yeah, I was glad they didn't cheese it up with "Et tu" at the end. They were true to the realism that made it so great.

    That gladiator scene last week was off the charts excellent.
