No prenup for Lachey = Reds Starting Pitching ?

Sounds like Castellini might just have found himself a new addition in the Reds ownership group...Talk about hitting the lottery

Simpson Shocker: No Prenup With Lachey

    POSTED: 9:26 am EST November 30, 2005
    UPDATED: 9:44 am EST November 30, 2005

Access Hollywood reports Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey never signed a prenuptial agreement, a move that may cost the blonde starlet millions.

According to Access and TMZ.com, Lachey had the papers drawn up by a lawyer before the pair wed in 2002, when he was the more popular of the celeb duo.

But Simpson allegedly refused to sign the documents.

Now, Simpson is worth millions, unlike Lachey.

Several publications put the couple's joint worth at $50 million, and under California law, Lachey would be entitled to half of whatever the couple made after their marriage, unless they reach a settlement.

Lachey's worth was estimated at $5 million, in a Boston Herald report.

US Weekly also now reports that celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser will represent either Nick or Jessica.

The fact that California is a community property jurisdiction is looking great for Nick at the moment.

Yes, I'm studying for my property final.

Yes, of course. I could write a 100 page thesis on it. Contingent remainders, shifting executory interests, springing executory interests, vested remainders, class gifts - I understand them all completely and could write an individual essay on any set of facts I might receive.

Of course you spend all that time studying it, only to find out it is no longer followed in most states. In Ohio, it's optional.

Okay, enough boring the masses. Back to the topic. I think Nick might get enough money to buy the Reds a decent starter, for a year or two. OTOH, imagine if he had joined forces with some other Hollywood Reds fans to buy in. Nick + George Clooney + Charlie Sheen might get us a decent starting rotation.

SHEEN 'TREATED BASEBALL TEAM TO HOOKERS AND PORN STARS'

Reformed hell-raiser CHARLIE SHEEN left a whole baseball team with endless wild memories, after throwing them a party at his house complete with prostitutes and porn stars.

The actor, who's marriage to DENISE RICHARDS broke down recently, generously entertained CINCINNATI REDS team members at his California home when he was at the height of his wild days.

Former Reds player ROB DIBBIE tells FHM, "During our championship season in 1990, Charlie Sheen threw us a couple of parties at his Malibu house. He spent over $50,000 - all of it on strippers, hookers and porn stars.

"For one party, he sent limos to pick us up from Dodger Stadium. I actually blew the save that night.

"I like having fun, but this was a freak show. I saw one of my fat, ugly teammates having sex with this beautiful porn star in a Jacuzzi."

Maybe Charlie could bring in Larry Flynt while he's at it to pump money into the farm system. Of course fans might become concerned when stripper poles start appearing at strategic locations around GABP.

Lachey seeks spousal support from Simpson

LOS ANGELES (AP) — In divorce papers, Nick Lachey is seeking spousal support from Jessica Simpson, and he wants his jewelry back.

In court papers filed Friday in response to Simpson's Dec. 16 divorce filing, Lachey cited irreconcilable differences for the dissolution of the three-year marriage.

Lachey, 32, also asked for "miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects," part of Simpson's earnings from after the date of separation and other assets.

Lachey said he and Simpson separated Dec. 13, although she claims it was Nov. 23.

The couple, who starred in their own MTV reality show, Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica, had no prenuptial agreement and in her petition, Simpson asked the court not to grant Lachey spousal support.

Lachey, who gained fame as a member of the boy band 98 Degrees, had more earning power when the couple wed in October 2002. However, Simpson's fame skyrocketed during the marriage. The 25-year-old singer-actress reportedly earned more than $30 million last year, including earnings from her big-screen debut playing Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard movie.

Last month, the Mediterranean-style house the pair shared during Newlyweds was sold to Malcolm in the Middle teen actor Justin Berfield for an undisclosed price.
Will trade this space for a #1 starter.
