More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

I guess the purple house "deep" into the foreground could be Deep Purple.
I thought the girl with the guy next to the Cowboy might be Jane's Addiction, but I thought that might be a stretch.
You really need to be able to clearly blow this pic up to see stuff/clues in the windows/background.

Us older guys have a harder time because we aren't familiar with some of these newer bands.... and especially where they come up with some of these names!!
Life was so much simplier when it was... Beatles, Dave Clark 5, Monkees, Byrds, Beach Boys, Four Seasons.
Now you got.... Alice In Chains, Nine Inch Nails, and Cowboy Junkies.
There is actually a band called Butthole Surfers.

Regarding the picture, I'm sure there are some Euro bands mixed in as well, considering the picture is an ad for Virgin Megastores.Originally Posted by GAC
As far as all the crazy new names that bands come up with, isn't it really done out of necessity? Aren't all the basic names taken up by now? You have to get creative if you don't want to infringe on someone else's trademarks and copyrights. I seem to remember back in the late '80s/early '90s when some popular British bands were forced to put "UK" after their names because some small-time band in the US had taken the name first.
are those the go-gos crossing the street?

Savatage had to change their name from Avatar because a German garage band who never released an album had it copyrighted.Originally Posted by Yachtzee
