Wow, I had no idea they had come up with such a stupid name for a stout.

    Re: Favorite Beer

I went to the Alaskan Brewery in Juneau last week and while I don't like their Amber I did have a Jalapeno IPA, a Double Tough IPA and some Smoked Porter that were all quite good.

My great, great grandfather, who was German, use to run a brewery at the turn of the century around Celina or Minster, Ohio. I'm thinking it was called Dutch Maid, but I'm not sure.
GAC - there is a Dutch Mill in Minster, but it is a restaurant ... I don't think it was ever a brewery.

You might be thinking of the Wooden Shoe (formerly a brewery). This is in Minster as well. A few years back someone started making the original recipe beer again (after a 50+ year abscense), and as I understand it, they will break ground on a brewpub in Minster this year.

    Props to OR beer!
I'd like to second that. I had a hop henge this weekend from Deschutes Brewery, in Bend I believe. Very tastey double IPA, what can I say I'm a sucker for a hoppy beer.

Good stuff. If you get a chance try Rogue Dead Guy, Laurelwood IPA or Hopworks IPA, all from Oregon as well.

Ohio does not have these so I picked up a few cans before departing North Carolina. (Twist off lids) They come in 9-packs.

Did you buy it for the can? I see what's in it.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.
