    Re: Favorite Beer

My Gramps in poughkeepsie drank that crap at times, and some other toilet cleaners.

Beer in New York makes you do awfully strange things.

1865 Mathew Vassar, a prominent Poughkeepsie, New York brewer, founds Vassar College, the first privately endowed school for women.
Chili went to school there IIRC

One of the nastiest beers on the face of the earth IMO.

Oh come on, it was brewed with natural artesian spring water.........

Plus - it can't be all that bad if it was the Waite Hoyt/Jack Moran/Jim McIntyre/Claude Sullivan/Joe Nuxhall brew of choice, on the Burger Beer Redleg Radio Network.

My old girlfriend's dad used to drink that. I got some just to soak bratwurst in.

That's the only thing I ever buy beer for. I know some of you would consider that a waste of good beer.

Yep. Tastes like drinking a pencil.

I think they also use to soak their feet in it too...before they bottled it.

I've been on a Sam Adams Light kick recently. Not really sure why, but I've taken a liking to it. I'm not necessarily into some of the rest of the Sam Adams collection, but Sammy Light's been treating me well.

    Re: Favorite Beer

I'm 24 and just started drinking beer regularly within the past couple years. I blame graduate school.

At any rate, I've tried quite a few in that time to gauge what I liked and what I didn't. I tend to like Sammy Light and the occasional Blue Moon. I enjoyed a brew when I was in Montana this summer called Moose Drool but its obviously not sold around where I live now. A couple interesting beers I had last semester were Arrogant Bastard Ale and Ruination IPA, both brewed by Stone. Anyone ever tried those?
