I wear a shirt & tie when I go to get a car repaired, when I need to return something or dispute something. The difference in the level of respect and assistance you received is quite often a night and day difference.

I take an approach from the opposite end of the spectrum.

I grow a three day beard, don't shower, and stay up drinking all night the day before I go in. Then I get there and twitch a lot and talk about the last guy that tried to screw me in a business transaction and how he's re-habbing nicely. I go for the Nick Nolte mug shot look.

    But that's just me.

It's also a good approach for getting your drivers license renewed when the take the photo. That way if you ever get pulled over after a bender, you'll look normal.

    I own 1 tie, it's 12 years old.

Hey, I've noticed that, too. If I go into a clothing store wearing a sweatshirt, jeans, Nikes, and a ballcap, I'll get little attention from the employees. But if I show up in a dress shirt and tie, I get called "sir" and am treated very cordially. In fact, it's pretty much that way with any type of store.

My problem is that any time I go to Walmart in a tie, at least one person will ask me if I work there. It never fails.

Help stamp out, eliminate, and do away with redundancy.

That's actually not a promotion. It's a reference to the Cubs' lineup.

I'm all for honoring Barry Larkin, but this will mark the second time he's been immortalized on a bobblehead since they began these give-aways just a few years ago.
How about a bobblehead of the man pictured at left?

I think they are doing Barry again because they only have 10,000 away so very few people received one. I think Sparky will have one one day. I like Concepcion.
