    Freel arrested again...Drunk in Tampa

    700 WLW-7am
Ryan Freel was arrested again in Tampa over the weekend for drunk and disorderly behavior. When ask if he had a job, he said he was unemployed.

....he might be unemployed if he keeps drinking, he obviously has a problem.
1st pick of the 2023 baseball amateur draft

If the REDS organization truly wants
to make a statement of turning things
around. Ryan Freel should be traded
for a minor league pitcher by the end
of the week. You'd think between
Womack and Aurilla they should be
able to match Freel's injured #'s.
Bergolla is getting pretty close making
    him expendable sooner rather than
    later.

Bergolla's not making anyone expendable except for maybe Tony Womack.
School's out. What did you expect?

    Based on what logic?

Plus the Reds just inked him to a 2 year contract.

If they really want to help him then do just that... help him.

Don't discard him because he has a problem... that speaks volumns too.

The may be able to cut him without paying his salary if there is a code of conduct clause. Considering he had a DUI from April '05, I would assume that such a clause is in his contract.

Cutting him is the wrong thing to do. Like WOY said, if the Reds want to make a statement they need to address the problem and fix it. They have invested time and money into him as a ballplayer, and he's a good one who plays for our beloved Reds. In no way am I saying that I agree with what he has done, it IS wrong in a lot of ways. Fix the problem, move on.
Benzinger backing and calling! And the 1990 world championship series belongs to the Cincinnati Reds!

Sometimes ditching him could be the help he needs.

Didn't work out that way for Ed Delahanty.

What sort of millionaire hangs out in a "pool hall?"

    Someone must've snookered him.
