Well that's certainly a Hall of Fame matchup.
We'll burn that bridge when we get to it.
anyone have the date of the game? its about 3 1/2 hrs from me, only about an hour or so from my parent's place.
Nothing to see here. Please disperse.
I heard it on the radio and I feel like they said 5/15, and the Reds do have that day off, but I didn't want to say for sure since I wasn't clear on what was said.

You are right it is on Monday May 15th. It is on the travel day right before they start a series in Pittsburgh.
May 15th? That seems odd. A monday in may when my son's school is stillin session..hmm, trip cancelled.
Nothing to see here. Please disperse.
This is an exhibition game, correct? Or does it count in the standings?
If it is an exhibition....are we allowed to call up some minor leaguers to play in that game so we don't get any regulars hurt?

That's usually how they play those things. You could see a Steve Kelly or Homer Bailey get to pitch the game on their regular pitching turn. Or someone like a Chick, or Germano, or Wood.Originally Posted by redsfan30
Usually - sometimes a few "name" players make it. A lot depends on who/where they are playing on the 14th.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.
I always look forward to the day the Hall of Fame Game is played, because that night, George Grande is nowhere to be heard.
Makes all the routine posts.
That is the day off between a 6 game home stand and a 6 game road trip so I don't think you will see any regulars play in that game.
Reds and Pirates playing in the Hall of Fame game and Bruce Sutter being inducted.
