    Robot skipper

Anyone want to figure out this computerized gizmo that supposedly tells a manager when to pull the pitcher?

Interesting, but complicated. The pie-chart visualization wasn't intuitive to me. It made my head hurt. I think it would make an old-school manager's head explode. Ray Knight might have dug it - I know he was big on matchups.

With all of those inputs and parameters, I'd see the TV networks using something like this before a team would.

While we're at it, let's use a Magic 8-ball to determine pinch hitters
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

Did you somehow miss the entirety of Dave Miley's tenure?

in some cases, that would be an improvement...

If your name is Dusty, you leave him in.

If your name is Tony, you take him out.

    No pie chart needed.

    Makes all the routine posts.

I prefer this guy sitting next to Washington's manager - and everytime Chad Cordero heads to the mound - exclaiming...."danger, Frank Robinson, danger!"

Yep, that's the difference between the Reds budget and the Nationals.

We are actually going to the more advanced bulpen model. When Milton is on the mound, he circles around out in the BP yelling "Danger! Danger! Danger!"

Or if the mess needs a real good cleaning up, then we go to this....

"panic" only comes from having real expectations
