"Dan is the consummate professional and was dedicated to the Reds. We wish him nothing but the best."
What exactly does this mean? That security did not have to escort DanO out after the news?

A bit of irony--DanO said the same thing after Miley got canned.
"Rounding 3rd and heading for home, good night everybody"

Did they say if there is any chance the new GM is announced before the season starts?

RCast says Piniella isn't going to be the GM, he wanted him as a special advisor, and he's sitting out for the year. RCast says Lou will go back to managing when he returns.

He says they will interview 6-8 candidates and it will take a few weeks.

He won't tell us the list, but will tell us when they come in that they did.

Kullman told him that he will be a candidate and Bob was pleased to hear that.

RCast would like to have a new GM in place before spring training, expects it to take around 3-4 weeks, they have 6-8 candidates on the list right now.

Think Narron is updating his resume as we speak?

Said all people who interview will be announced publicly, unless they specifically do not want to be identified.

Sounds good to me, honesty and actually telling fans what's going on.

Damn it, press conference is over on WLW.

Cast sucks as a public speaker, but I love him anyway, no more DanO.

700 cut the Q&A off for freakin' traffic.
