At least that would be mine if I were manager.
But generating offense is not our problem. It''s preventing it.

Besides - I don't think could handle any more "he strikes out too much" threads.
"panic" only comes from having real expectations

That's it right there. Don't be wasting time going after a faded star like Sosa. Spend that time going after pitching.

Obviously I'm the minority here, but I'd sign Sammy if he could be had for Aurilia type money. If Kearns was dealt that is, if and only if. What are the other alternatives? Matt Stairs or some other retread....or our own retread Womack. If I gotta buy a cheap used tire, I'll at least go for the Good Year instead of the no-name special.

When I read this title I was hoping it was about Sammy Davis Jr (even though he's dead) and not Sammy Sosa.

Cause I would take a dead Sammy Davis over what's left of Sammy Sosa.
Will trade this space for a #1 starter.

I don't think anyone has said this, but I vote No.

Sosa is washed up, I'd be Deno would play better given 550 at bats.

Absolutely not. Dead, dead weight, IMO. Matt Stairs is probably better than Sosa at this point.

If you could get the Cubs or Cards to pay him, I'd let him clean the toilets at GAB.

    Why? he's washed up..career over.

Look at Greg Vaughn to see how bad it can get.

Why not? He had 1 bad year, if you can get him for cheap (and if you need another outfielder) i might take a chance on him.

If he were, say, 28 and that 1 bad year did not also coincide with crackdown on steriods, then I'd reconsider.

    Hell no.

Well, we sure have a mixture of opinions on this one......I guess it means you guys just aren't interested.

Well, we'll see how Sammy plays this year.
