Thad Matta is doing a tremendous job in Columbus. I just hope my Hoosiers can hire someone of his caliber after Davis is canned at seasons end.

I'm thinking sometime this week or next we might hear about any further NCAA sanctions as well. I heard the hearings were last weekend from my friend but he didn't know any other details. I would like to get that over so the Bucks will know for sure if they will be going to the tournamnet and the status of next year's recruits.
For now though, bring on the Illini!
That shot that Sylvester made last year to beat Illinois was my single favorite moment of my entire freshmen year at OSU. Actually, it's been my favorite moment as a Buckeye. People talk about storming the field after the scUM win and that was fun, but nothing beat that day against the Illini and then being able to go to the Big 10 tournamnet the next week skipping two days of classes (and taking crap from all the Illini fans in Chicago).
Even my man Matt Sylvester was dunkin' on the Maize & Blue. Gotta love it!

Sounds like he has been battling back problems the past couple of weeks. He can be maddening at times but I personally enjoy what he brings to the team. He seems to have a good head for how to play the game but loses track of the actual game situation sometimes (time and score situation). But that's why I like college hoops, and I don't expect or even want the guys to be perfect. It's been a bunch of fun this year and Matt got us rollin' back in March!Originally Posted by max venable

BTW, it's Michigan week again! A win tomorrow completes the Football and Basketball trifecta! Always nice.
Also worth noting, soon the Bucks will be the reigning Big Ten football champs, M basketball champs and Women's basketball champs. How's that for another trifecta?

I've never understood how that works. OSU and Penn State finished with the same record...and PSU beat OSU, so shouldn't Penn State be the Big-10 champs instead of a tie?Also worth noting, soon the Bucks will be the reigning Big Ten football champs
The same thing happened with USC and Washington State in 2002. Both finished with the same record but WSU beat SC...they crowned both as Pac-10 champs. I'm not complaining, but that has always puzzled me.

And fwiw, OSU beat the team that beat Penn St. So how do you factor that in?
