He's been able to make guys miss so far and the Southern League is pitcher friendly. IMO his chances are pretty good.

Medlock's a better prospect than Steve Kelly and Kelly did awfully well in Chattanooga.

That I agree with, at least. I'm loath to make some sort of crack about Kelly because we don't know if his first-ever rough year was the result of hitting a wall or the arm injury that took half of his season.

I don't think Wayne is going to want the best pitching prospect pitching in 50 degree heat during april, when it's 80 degrees in FL.

I don't think the Reds are going to overpromote Bailey for one simple reason. If you promote Bailey it shows that O'Brien isn't as incompetent as everyone makes him out to be. If Castellini/Krivsky keep Bailey in the lower levels and he blows out his arm then that can be used as further proof that Lindner/O'Brien couldn't do anything correct.

O'Brien's record speaks for itself.

Bailey has a ton of potential as is evident by his 10.85 K/9 at Dayton last year, but he also has some work to do with control issues as is evident by his 5.38 BB/9 in 104 inninings pitched.
