2006 Season and World Series predictions

    Make 'em here.

    NL East:

    Atlanta
    New York
    Philadelphia
    Washington
    Florida

    NL Central:

    St. Louis
    Milwaukee
    Chicago
    Houston
    Cincinnati
    Pittsburgh

    NL West:

    San Diego
    Los Angeles
    Arizona
    Colorado
    San Francisco

    NL East:

    New York
    Boston
    Toronto
    Tampa Bay
    Baltimore

    AL Central:

    Cleveland
    Minnesota
    Chicago
    Detroit
    Kansas City

    AL West:

    Oakland
    Anaheim
    Texas
    Seattle

NL Division Winners-Atlanta, St. Louis, San Diego
    NL Wildcard-Milwaukee

AL Division Winners-New York, Cleveland, Oakland
    AL Wildcard-Boston

    NL Playoffs:

    Braves over Brewers
    Padres over Cards

    Padres over Braves

    AL Playoffs:

    Oakland over New York
    Boston over Cleveland

    Oakland over Boston

    World Series

    Oakland over San Diego

    Awards

    NL MVP-Albert Pujols
    NL Cy Young-Jake Peavy
NL Rookie of the Year-Jeremy Hermida(Marlins)

    AL MVP-Alex Rodriguez
    AL Cy Young-Rich Harden
AL Rookie of the Year-Francisco Liriano(Twins)

I really like Milwaukee. I was tempted to put them ahead of the Cards but I decided to go with the safer pick. The Brewers made some solid offseason moves with the acquisitions of David Bush and Corey Koskie. The Cards lost Reggie Sanders, Matt Morris, and Al Reyes...and their outfield is horrible. Edmonds is still good but is getting older. Rolen is coming off shoulder surgery and we know how Kearns and Casey did after the same type of surgery. It could be an interesting race in the Central.

    Edited-Forgot about the divisional rule.

IMO, very few teams can go from being average to the playoffs in one season. That's espeecially true when you're talking about adding rookies who weren't even on the team last season.

So I think you have the Brewers a little high. Saying they'll challenge St. Louis is very, very optimistic. I'm giving them another year before they start contending for a playoff spot.

    I'll go:

    NL East:
    Atlanta
    New York
    Philadelphia
    Washington
    Florida

    NL Central:
    St. Louis
    Houston
    Milwaukee
    Chicago
    Cincinnati
    Pittsburgh

    NL West:
    San Francisco
    San Diego
    Los Angeles
    Arizona
    Colorado

    NL East:
    New York
    Boston
    Toronto
    Baltimore
    Tampa Bay

    AL Central:
    Cleveland
    Chicago
    Minnesota
    Detroit
    Kansas City

    AL West:
    Anaheim
    Oakland
    Texas
    Seattle

NL Division Winners-Atlanta, St. Louis, San Francisco
    NL Wildcard-Houston

AL Division Winners-New York, Cleveland, Anaheim
    AL Wildcard-Boston

    NL Playoffs:
    Astros over Braves
    Cards over Giants

    Cards over Astros

    AL Playoffs:
    Cleveland over Boston
    New York over Anaheim

    New York over Cleveland

    World Series:
    Cards over New York

on base machine, Boston and New York wouldnt be able to play until the ALCS. Divisional teams cant play eachother in divisional play.
