    Tony Sipp

Just saw the kid on ESPN. Weird delivery, but I checked out his stats, and they're well-above average to say the least. +9/K9. I really like this kid. So, what would you give up for Tony Sipp?
I hope it's never sunny in Philly again.

    Re: Tony Sipp

Sipp is an interesting case. He was the centerfielder here at Clemson 2-3 years ago, and also served as the team's closer down the stretch. He left as a junior after being drafted by the Indians. But it wasn't the normal type of deal. He was drafted in the mid-40 round range, and seemed intent on coming back to school. But he goes up the the Cape that summer and starts throwing 90 mph fastballs around, and suddenly the Indians come up with, I believe, 6th-round money for him.

He was always a good kid, soft-spoken guy here. I hope he does well.
