    Griffey Raking in the WBC

    In case you didn't see!

Griffey 2 for 2 with a walk today. Both hits were doubles and an RBI. Why oh why did they take him out. He was on fire. I know we lost, but still nice to see. Is it me or does Griffey look really good this spring?

    Go Reds

Can't hold a candle to that Adam Stern guy, though.

I thought it was foolish to take him out as well.

Whomever said Team USA is being managed as if it were an all-star game is right. They just keep rotating players in and out without an apparent game plan... just to give everyone a certain amount of playing time. Though a few players seem to be in for the entre game.

I haven't been able to figure it out.

Just saw highlights to the game and they didn't even list Griffey on the top performers. They had 4 guys that just had 1 hit and he had 2 doubles and an RBI and on all 3 times. Just amazes me. I know I wouldn't notice if I wasn't a Reds fan, but I am. NO RESPECT! My ol Rodney Dangerfield quote. LOL Just thought I'd share.

Always nice to see Griffey get the job done...even if he's not doing it in a Reds uni. Actually its even better when he's doing it for our country.

Now that USA has lost, are they out?

At least the announcers praised him. They had a lot of nice things to say.

No, they're not out but have to beat the next team they play to advance.

And hope Mexico and Canada don't get better results. Not too sure how the countbacks work though.

Does anybody know if the Aussies have started yet, scores?.

I'd like to see the USA move into the next bracket but if they don't I'll also be glad to get Jr. and Wily Mo back in the Reds camp.

Is Joey Votto playing for Canada? I didn't watch the game yesterday so I couldn't tell.

we can still win and not advance,
if mexico beats canada 1-0, 2-0, or 2-1, and we win,
mexico and canada would advance and we go home!
