I loved the mention of how he told Ryan he got the job, then told him he didn't get it.

Okay, I have a question. A lady I work with said she didn't like the show because it employed every stereotype to create its humor. We all ignored her because she is a huge "Know-it-all" and we are big fans of the show, but I wondered what the "H" she was talking about. Anyone have a clue? Why would this show be any more guilty of exploiting stereotypes than any other comedy?

Prob because one of the characters is gay.

Unless the ditzy Indian girl is a prevalent stereotype.

Maybe Dwight's character hits a little too close to home for her know-it-allness?

Everybody in the office is done in a normal typical light except for Michael who stereotypes them all.

Dwights obviously an oddball but every office has a freak in it.

Michael is the same type of character as Archie Bunker, just nicer. But he's the lightening rod for the whole pushing the "that's just wrong" button in everyones living room.

That said I loved the rerun on TBS last night where Jan plays her "assistant" Tyler's CD. The subtext of that scene is brilliant.

I was going to post about the Archie Bunker connection too. People didn't seem to get that Archie's views were being held up as an object of ridicule. Instead, it was "That show is racist."

haha the dinner party is one of my favorite episodes.

I love when Michael is talking about his 12" "Plasma Television."

When Jan breaks it with a Dundy Award I always laugh.

That one and the Survivorman one were the first episodes I ever saw of the show.

Andy: So it's like a disco cafe.

    Michael: Yes, exactly.

    Kevin: A cafe disco?

Michael: No Kevin, that's not even close.

Did everyone catch the preview for the movie The Hangerover that stars Andy (Ed Helms)? The one where he plays the piano and sings throughout the trailer. I couldn't find the trailer that aired during The Office, but here are two other trailers for the movie. It's directed by Todd Phillips, it's good to see him back. This movie looks really funny.
