The pitching was depleted before any injuries.

Minor injuries which enables the Reds to take a long look at young arms like Gosling.

Now if it was a week before Opening Day, I would be concern. But the way it looks, Paul Wilson might be the only one not ready for the rotation. But the way Gosling has pitched, he might enable the Reds to take their time getting Wilson back in the rotation.

They can take all season, I'd rather see someone new then see Paul again.

If we get the v2004 pre All Star Paul Wilson I would love to see him again. If we get the Post Allstar-2005 Paul Wilson, I will be doing alot of crossword puzzles while he pitches.
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

Expect the latter, he was the pre 2004 Wilson as well.

I choose to believe that Paul was injured, Womack will revert to his 2004 form, and the Reds are actually a bad dream.

How about "Fried Green Tomatoes", or maybe "A Bridge Too Far"?

A few strategic injuries could IMPROVE the Reds pitching...I fail to see how anything could deplete it. Oh snap! We're gonna have to pitch Homer Bailey! Could he be worse? That's doubtful.

IMHO, The current Reds pitching staff is composed mostly of arms who can eat innings until a real Major League pitcher is purchased or develops from the farm. That's my two cents.

What is an "innings-eater" anyway? It always seems to be a tag applied to a pitcher whose numbers suck, yet who manages to avoid getting injured and pitches for a team that has nothing to replace him with.

Hence, guys like Wilson and Milton get labelled as "innings-eaters". The Reds have been very good at getting "innings-eaters" recently.
We'll burn that bridge when we get to it.

And yet only Dessen's and Harang threw at least 200 innings in the 21st century.
